How to Sell a Large Amount of USDT in India (₹10 Lakh+) Safely
Selling 20,000 or 50,000+ USDT in India? How to avoid P2P freezes, get paid by RTGS with a UTR, what records to keep and how the tax works.

Quick answer
Sell a large amount of USDT to one business that pays from its own bank account, a direct offramp, an Indian exchange or a registered OTC desk, and take the INR by RTGS with a UTR. Avoid splitting it across many P2P buyers: each payment is a freeze risk. Keep proof of where the USDT came from and plan for 30% tax on gains.
Selling a few hundred USDT is simple. Selling 20,000, 50,000 or more is where Indian sellers get nervous, and for good reason: large P2P trades are the ones most likely to end in a bank freeze or a tax notice. Here's how to sell a large amount of USDT in India cleanly.

Why large amounts are different
- P2P multiplies the risk. A big sale on P2P means many buyers and many incoming payments. Each one is a chance that the money is linked to a fraud complaint, and one complaint can freeze the whole account.
- Your bank notices. Large or unusual credits can prompt your bank to ask where the money came from. Credits from a known business with a UTR are easy to explain; dozens of UPI payments from strangers are not.
- The tax department sees it. Exchange TDS, your AIS and high-value bank credits all report the sale. Plan to pay tax on any gain.

The cleanest ways to sell a large amount
1. A direct offramp, paid by RTGS
Disburz sells up to 1,00,000 USDT per order. You get one quote for the whole order, send the USDT on TRC20 and receive the INR in one bank transfer: RTGS for ₹2 lakh and above, with a UTR. Because part of the fee is fixed, the cost falls as the amount grows: today it's ₹50 fee + 3 USDT network deduction, or 0.04% (₹338.00) on 10,000 USDT. See the live breakdown for 10,000 USDT to INR.
2. An Indian exchange
If your USDT already sits on an Indian exchange with KYC done, sell there and withdraw. Check the order book depth so a large sell doesn't move the price against you, and note the daily INR withdrawal limit.
3. An OTC desk
For very large amounts, an OTC desk agrees one price for the whole block and settles by RTGS. Use only a registered business that pays from its own bank account, never a Telegram contact paying in cash or from personal accounts.
A checklist before you sell
- Send a small test amount first and wait for it to settle.
- Use a bank account in your own name, and choose RTGS for ₹2 lakh and above.
- Keep proof of where the USDT came from: exchange statements, trading history, or the invoices if it was income.
- Split very large sums into a few orders if you want to spread risk, but don't split just to stay under limits. See how much USDT you can sell without bank problems.
- Save every order, transaction hash and UTR for your tax return.
Can I sell USDT for cash?
Cash deals with strangers carry the highest risk of fraud and robbery, and leave no record that explains the money later. If you need cash, sell through a business into your bank and withdraw from your bank.
Tax on a large sale
Gains are taxed at a flat 30% plus cess, losses can't be set off, and 1% TDS may apply. On a large sale, the difference between your purchase cost and the sale price matters, so dig out your purchase records before you sell. See crypto tax and TDS in India, and talk to a CA before a sale of this size.
