How to sell USDT for INR
A step-by-step guide
Your questions, answered
How do I sell USDT for INR in India?
Log in to Disburz, enter the USDT amount and add your bank account. You'll see the rate, the fees and the exact INR before you confirm. Then send USDT on the TRC20 (Tron) network on Trans Ramp's secure payment page. Once the payment is confirmed on the blockchain, our payout partner Trans Ramp sends INR to your bank by IMPS, NEFT or RTGS, and you receive the UTR by email.
Who sends the INR to my bank?
Our payout partner, Trans Ramp. Disburz gives you the quote, your account, order tracking and support; Trans Ramp receives your USDT, converts it and pays the INR into your bank account. You are never paid by an unknown buyer.
What is the USDT to INR rate today?
The live USDT to INR rate is shown in the quote card and calculator on this page and refreshes automatically. The rate is locked when you confirm your sale.
What are the fees for converting crypto to INR?
Today it's ₹50 fee + 3 USDT network deduction per sale, charged by our payout partner Trans Ramp. Both are shown in your quote before you send, and the 'You receive' amount is what reaches your bank. Disburz adds no fee of its own.
Can I withdraw USDT directly to my Indian bank account?
Banks don't accept USDT, so it has to be sold for INR first. Disburz does both in one flow: you send USDT from any wallet or exchange and receive rupees straight into your own bank account, with a bank UTR as proof.
Is it safe to sell USDT in India? Can my bank account get frozen?
Bank freezes usually happen with P2P trades, when money from an unknown buyer is linked to a fraud complaint. With Disburz the INR comes from our payout partner Trans Ramp, not from a stranger, and every payout has a UTR you can show your bank.
How does the rate lock work?
When you confirm your sale, the rate and the INR amount are fixed for that order. Send the exact amount on the network shown before the payment page's timer ends. If a different amount arrives, the INR is worked out on what actually arrived.
How long does settlement take?
On TRC20 a payment is usually confirmed in about a minute; the payment page shows the confirmations as they happen. The INR is then sent by IMPS (usually minutes, 24/7), NEFT (within a few hours) or RTGS (₹2 lakh and above, real-time); all three run 24/7. You get an email when your USDT is received and another with the UTR when the INR is sent.
Which networks are supported?
USDT on the TRC20 (Tron) network today. USDT on ERC20, Polygon, Solana, BSC and Base, and USDC, BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB and POL are coming soon.
What happens if I send crypto on an unsupported network?
Always send on the exact network shown on the payment page. If funds arrive on a different network, contact support immediately with your transaction hash — recovery is attempted where technically possible, but it may not be possible and can incur network costs.
Can I receive money from abroad in INR with Disburz?
If someone abroad sends you USDT, you can sell it on Disburz like any other USDT: get a quote in your account and send it on the TRC20 network to the payment page. Trans Ramp pays the INR into your own Indian bank account. Keep records of who sent it and why, for tax purposes.
Is TDS deducted when I sell crypto in India?
Crypto is taxed in India as a virtual digital asset: gains are taxed at 30% and 1% TDS may apply on transfers above the annual threshold. Keep records of every sale and speak to a CA about your own tax. See our crypto tax and TDS guide.
Is it legal to sell USDT in India?
Yes. No Indian law bans owning or selling USDT. Selling it for INR is a sale of a virtual digital asset: the gain is taxed at 30% plus cess and 1% TDS can apply. Sell only your own USDT, into your own bank account, and keep a record of every sale.
Can I sell USDT for cash?
Disburz pays to your bank account, not in cash. Cash deals with strangers carry the highest risk of fake notes and money from crime, and receiving ₹2 lakh or more in cash for one deal breaks Income Tax section 269ST. Sell to your bank and withdraw cash from your account if you need it.
Do I need KYC to use Disburz?
No documents needed. Disburz doesn't ask you to upload ID documents: you sign up with your name, email and phone, and add the bank account you want to be paid in. Payouts are made by our partner Trans Ramp, which runs its own checks and may contact you if it needs more information.
What is the minimum amount of USDT I can sell?
Currently 13.95 USDT (the payout partner's minimum after fees), up to 1,00,000 USDT per order. The quote always shows the exact limits.
