Coinbase Wallet to Bank Account in India: How to Get INR (2026)
Coinbase Wallet can't pay INR or send on TRON. Two ways to get rupees in your Indian bank, the fees, and the Coinbase India setting you can't undo.
By Bryan Aaron · Updated
Quick answer
Coinbase Wallet can't pay rupees into an Indian bank and has no TRON network. Send your USDC or USDT to an exchange on the same network (Base, Ethereum, BNB Chain or Polygon), convert to USDT, withdraw on TRC20 to an offramp like Disburz and get INR by IMPS with a UTR. You can also sell on a Coinbase India account, but linking a bank there permanently turns off sending crypto.
Coinbase Wallet is a self-custody wallet. It holds your crypto, but it can't pay rupees into an Indian bank account, and it doesn't support the TRON network. So the money has to pass through one more place before it becomes INR. There are two ways to do it, and the second one has a catch that a lot of Indian users only find out about afterwards.

Coinbase Wallet or a Coinbase account: which one do you have?
They're two different products, and the answer depends on which one holds your crypto. Coinbase renamed the wallet “Base app” in July 2025 and switched back to “Coinbase Wallet” in September 2026, so you may see either name.
| Coinbase Wallet (Base app) | Coinbase account (coinbase.com) | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Self-custody wallet with a recovery phrase or passkey | Exchange account with KYC |
| Pays INR to an Indian bank | No | Yes, by IMPS, since 1 June 2026 |
| TRON (TRC20) | Not supported | USDT on TRC20 isn't supported |
| Can send crypto out | Yes | Not after you link an Indian bank account |

Can Coinbase Wallet send money straight to an Indian bank?
No. The wallet has a Cashout option, but Coinbase lists its own cash-out only for the US, the EU, Singapore, Australia, Canada and Brazil. Elsewhere, the app may offer third-party cash-out providers, and Coinbase estimates their fees at 2–5%. If one shows up for India, compare the final rupee amount before you use it.
Your two routes to INR, compared
| Route A: exchange → TRC20 → Disburz | Route B: sell on a Coinbase India account | |
|---|---|---|
| Who pays your INR | Disburz's payout partner, by IMPS, NEFT or RTGS | Coinbase, by IMPS |
| Fees | Wallet network fee + exchange TRC20 withdrawal fee + Disburz (₹50 fee + 3 USDT network deduction) | Wallet network fee + Coinbase trading fee |
| The catch | One extra hop through an exchange | Linking your bank permanently turns off sending crypto from that account |
| Good for | Keeping your crypto free to move later | People who only want to buy, sell and withdraw INR on Coinbase |
Route A, step by step
- Check which network your USDC or USDT is on. In Coinbase Wallet, tap the token. Most USDC sits on Base; you may also have USDT or USDC on Ethereum, BNB Chain or Polygon. Your address starts with
0xon all of them, so the network you pick when sending decides where the money goes. - Keep the fee coin. Sending costs a network fee in that network's coin: ETH on Base and Ethereum, BNB on BNB Chain, POL on Polygon. Without it, the wallet won't let you send.
- Get a deposit address on an exchange for the same network. On an exchange that supports both that network and TRC20 withdrawals, open Deposit, pick the coin, then pick the exact network you're sending on. Send a small test amount first if it's your first time.
- Convert to USDT on the exchange if you sent USDC. Disburz accepts USDT on TRC20 today.
- Withdraw USDT on TRC20 to your Disburz deposit address. It starts with
T. Choose TRC20 or TRON as the network, never ERC20 or BEP20, for that address. - Receive INR in your bank account by IMPS, NEFT or RTGS, with a bank UTR. You don't upload any documents to Disburz.
Here's what 1,000 USDT arriving on TRC20 pays at today's Disburz quote, before any fees you paid to get it there:
| Arrives at Disburz | 1,000 USDT (TRC20) |
| Network deduction | − 3 USDT |
| Rate | 1 USDT = ₹96.00 |
| Converted value | ₹95,712.00 |
| Fee | − ₹50.00 |
| Paid to your bank | ₹95,662.00 |

Route B: selling on a Coinbase India account
Since 1 June 2026, Coinbase lets Indian customers deposit and withdraw INR by IMPS, and says it's registered with FIU-IND. You can send USDC from Coinbase Wallet to your Coinbase account, sell it for INR and withdraw to your bank. Coinbase lists IMPS deposits at up to ₹5,00,000 per transaction, with up to three bank transfers a day.
Read this before you link a bank. Coinbase says that adding a bank account to an Indian Coinbase account permanently disables sending crypto, to other wallets or exchanges, and removing the bank later doesn't undo it. You can still trade, receive crypto and withdraw INR.
That's fine if you only ever want to sell on Coinbase. If you might want to move crypto elsewhere later, use a separate account for INR, or stick with Route A.
Mistakes that cost money
- Sending TRC20 USDT to Coinbase Wallet. It has no TRON network, so you can't send TRC20 USDT to it or receive it there. See sent crypto on the wrong network.
- Picking a network the exchange doesn't accept. USDC on Base sent to an exchange that only takes USDC on Ethereum may not arrive. Check the deposit page, or paste the address into our address checker.
- Using a passkey (smart) wallet for Bitcoin or Solana. Coinbase says smart wallets support EVM networks only. To send BTC or SOL you need a recovery-phrase or email/social login wallet.
- Fake support. Coinbase and Disburz will never ask for your recovery phrase or a login code. More in USDT scams in India.
Tax when you sell
Selling crypto for INR is a transfer of a virtual digital asset: gains are taxed at a flat 30% plus cess, and 1% TDS can apply. The route you pick doesn't change that. See crypto tax and TDS in India.
