OKX to Indian Bank Account: Getting INR After OKX Left India
OKX stopped exchange services in India in 2024 and doesn't pay INR. How to move USDT from OKX or OKX Wallet to your Indian bank account without P2P.
By Bryan Aaron · Updated
Quick answer
OKX stopped its exchange services for users in India in March 2024 and doesn't pay INR into Indian bank accounts. To get rupees without P2P, withdraw USDT on the TRON (TRC20) network, from an OKX account you can still access or from OKX Wallet, to a direct offramp like Disburz, and receive INR in your bank by IMPS with a UTR.
If you still have USDT with OKX, you've probably noticed it doesn't pay rupees into Indian bank accounts. Most videos tell you to sell on OKX P2P. You don't have to. Here's what changed in India and the route that avoids strangers.

What happened to OKX in India?
In March 2024, OKX emailed Indian users that it was ending its exchange (CeFi) services in India, citing local regulations, and asked them to close positions and withdraw funds by 30 April 2024. This came after its app was pulled from Indian app stores. OKX said its Web3 wallet would stay available in India.
Don't use a VPN to open or keep using an OKX exchange account from India. It can break OKX's terms and get the account restricted with your money inside.
Which OKX do you have?
| OKX exchange account | OKX Wallet (Web3) | |
|---|---|---|
| Status in India | Services ended in 2024 | Still available, per OKX |
| Who holds the keys | OKX | You (recovery phrase) |
| USDT on TRC20 | Supported for deposits and withdrawals | Supported |
| Fee for sending | OKX's withdrawal fee, shown before you confirm | TRON network fee, paid in TRX |
From an OKX exchange account
- Convert your balance to USDT.
- Get a Disburz quote, add your bank account and confirm. Copy the deposit address (starts with
T) and the exact amount. - On OKX, go to Assets → Withdraw → USDT → On-chain. If the USDT is in your Trading account, move it to Funding first if OKX asks.
- Choose USDT-TRC20 as the network, paste the address, check the fee and the amount that arrives, and confirm.
Can't sign in or withdraw because your account was closed for India? Only OKX support can help with that. Use the official app or website, and ignore anyone who DMs you offering to “recover” it.
From OKX Wallet
- Make sure your USDT is on TRON. OKX Wallet shows the network under each token.
- Keep some TRX in the same wallet. TRC20 transfers pay the network fee in TRX, and a send can fail without it.
- Tap Send, pick USDT on TRON, paste your Disburz deposit address and the exact amount, and confirm.

USDT on another network, like BNB Smart Chain or Ethereum? Swap it to USDT on TRON first, or route it through an exchange that supports both networks. Note that OKX's own help page says its exchange doesn't accept USDT on BNB Smart Chain, so don't deposit BSC USDT there.
What you'll receive
Disburz detects the payment, counts the TRON confirmations (about a minute) and pays INR by IMPS, NEFT or RTGS with a bank UTR. Today's fees: ₹50 fee + 3 USDT network deduction. For 1,000 USDT arriving:
| Arrives at Disburz | 1,000 USDT (TRC20) |
| Network deduction | − 3 USDT |
| Rate | 1 USDT = ₹96.00 |
| Converted value | ₹95,712.00 |
| Fee | − ₹50.00 |
| Paid to your bank | ₹95,662.00 |
