How to Withdraw USDT to an Indian Bank Account: Every Wallet and Exchange

Withdraw USDT or crypto to an Indian bank account from Trust Wallet, Binance, MetaMask, Ledger, OKX and 9 more: one table, limits, fees and safe routes.

By Bryan Aaron · Updated

Quick answer

You can't send USDT straight to a bank account, because banks only hold rupees. To withdraw USDT to an Indian bank account you sell it for INR: on an Indian exchange then withdraw, on P2P, or through a direct offramp that pays INR straight to your bank with a UTR.

Banks don't accept USDT directly, so "withdrawing USDT to a bank account" really means selling it for INR and having the rupees paid out. Where your USDT sits decides the easiest route. Find your wallet or exchange in the table below, then follow its guide.

“Directly” means the wallet or exchange can send USDT on TRON to a Disburz deposit address without a hop in between. Checked October 2026; apps change their menus, so the guides show current steps.

How the direct route works on Disburz

Get a quote, add your bank account (in your own name) and confirm. Send USDT on TRC20 (TRON) to the deposit address shown; Disburz accepts USDT on TRON today. After about a minute of confirmations, INR goes to your bank by IMPS, NEFT or RTGS, with a UTR by email. Today's fees: ₹50 fee + 3 USDT network deduction. For 1,000 USDT arriving:

Does it work with my bank?

Yes, if it's an Indian bank account in your own name that can receive IMPS, NEFT or RTGS: SBI, HDFC, ICICI, Axis, Kotak or any other. The payout arrives as an ordinary bank credit with a UTR, so the bank's name doesn't matter. If a payout bounces, see bank rejected your USDT payout.

Checklist before you send

  1. Confirm which network your USDT is on, and that the receiver accepts it.
  2. Keep the network's fee coin in your wallet (TRX for TRON).
  3. Check your wallet's or exchange's withdrawal fee so the right amount arrives.
  4. Paste the deposit address and check the first and last characters.
  5. Use a bank account in your own name.
  6. Keep records for tax: see our tax guide.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

View all FAQs
Can I send USDT directly to my bank account?

No. Banks don't hold USDT. You sell the USDT for INR, and the rupees are paid into your bank account.

What is the safest way to withdraw USDT to an Indian bank?

Use a route where a business pays you, such as an Indian exchange or a direct offramp, rather than unknown P2P buyers. Always use a bank account in your own name.

Which network should I use to send USDT?

The network the receiving platform shows on your deposit address. Disburz accepts USDT on TRON (TRC20) today, usually the cheapest. Sending on a different network can lose funds.

Do I pay tax when I withdraw USDT to my bank?

Selling USDT is a VDA transfer: gains are taxed at 30% plus cess and 1% TDS may apply. See our crypto tax and TDS guide.

Is there a limit on withdrawing USDT to an Indian bank account?

Each platform sets its own. On Disburz you can sell up to 1,00,000 USDT per order. Bank rails have their own limits too: IMPS is usually up to ₹5 lakh per transfer, and RTGS is used for ₹2 lakh and above.

Can I withdraw USDT to an SBI, HDFC or any other bank account?

Yes, to any Indian bank account in your own name that can receive IMPS, NEFT or RTGS. Disburz pays by bank transfer with a UTR, so the bank's name doesn't matter.

Which wallets can send USDT on TRC20 directly?

Trust Wallet, Exodus, Ledger, TronLink and OKX Wallet can send USDT on TRON. MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet and Phantom have no TRON network, so route through an exchange first.
