Gate.io (Gate) to Indian Bank Account: Withdraw USDT and Get INR (2026)
Gate (Gate.io) doesn't pay INR and isn't registered with FIU-IND. How to withdraw USDT from Gate on TRC20 and get rupees in your Indian bank without P2P.
By Bryan Aaron · Updated
Quick answer
Gate (formerly Gate.io) doesn't pay INR into Indian bank accounts and isn't among the 54 platforms registered with FIU-IND. To get rupees, use Assets → Withdraw → Onchain Withdrawal, pick USDT on the TRX (TRC20) network and send it to a direct offramp like Disburz, which pays INR to your bank by IMPS with a UTR.
Gate (it was called Gate.io until it moved to gate.com) doesn't send rupees to Indian bank accounts. If you hold USDT or other coins there, the clean way out is to withdraw USDT on the TRON network to a business that pays INR from its own bank account. Here's how, and what India's rules say about Gate.

Gate and India: what the government lists say
In its 30 March 2026 reply to the Lok Sabha, the government published two lists:
| List | Gate.io | Who else |
|---|---|---|
| 54 platforms registered with FIU-IND (as on 9 March 2026) | Not listed | Offshore names include Binance, Bybit, KuCoin and Coinbase |
| Offshore exchanges directed for takedown of apps and URLs | Listed | Also MEXC, OKX, Bitget, Kraken, Huobi; some, like Binance and Bybit, registered later |
In practice: Gate isn't registered to serve Indian users, its app and site may be blocked in India, and its status can change. Don't keep more on Gate than you need, and don't rely on VPN workarounds to reach it.
Before you withdraw
- Convert to USDT on Gate's spot market if you hold other coins.
- Complete verification and set up your fund password or authenticator; Gate asks for multi-factor verification on every withdrawal.
- Don't change security settings right before withdrawing. Gate says newly changed security settings can trigger a mandatory 24-hour withdrawal suspension.
Step by step: Gate to your Indian bank account
- Get a Disburz quote for the amount, add your bank account (in your own name), and confirm. Copy the deposit address; it starts with
T. - In the Gate app, tap Assets → Withdraw and choose Onchain Withdrawal.
- Select USDT and the TRX (TRC20) network.
- Paste the Disburz address and enter the amount.
- Check the fee, the minimum and the estimated amount received; make that match your Disburz order.
- Complete security verification and submit. Track it in your withdrawal history.

Once the USDT confirms on TRON (about a minute), Disburz pays INR to your bank by IMPS, NEFT or RTGS and emails you the UTR. What 1,000 USDT arriving on TRC20 pays at today's quote (fees: ₹50 fee + 3 USDT network deduction):
| Arrives at Disburz | 1,000 USDT (TRC20) |
| Network deduction | − 3 USDT |
| Rate | 1 USDT = ₹96.00 |
| Converted value | ₹95,712.00 |
| Fee | − ₹50.00 |
| Paid to your bank | ₹95,662.00 |
|---|
Your options for turning Gate USDT into INR
| Route | Who pays your INR | Main catch |
|---|---|---|
| Gate P2P | A stranger | Money linked to fraud can freeze your bank account |
| Withdraw USDT on TRC20 to Disburz | Disburz's payout partner, by IMPS, NEFT or RTGS | Network must match the T address |
| Withdraw to an FIU-registered Indian exchange and sell | The exchange | 1% TDS on the sale and exchange fees |
Mistakes to avoid
- Picking a cheaper network the receiver doesn't support. Gate's own guide warns that the network must match the receiving platform. For a
Taddress, that's TRC20. Check with the address checker. - Sending below the minimum shown on the withdrawal page.
- Splitting a large balance across many P2P buyers. Each one is a new freeze risk.
Tax
Gains on crypto are taxed at a flat 30% plus cess, whichever exchange you use, and you report them in your ITR as income from virtual digital assets. Download your Gate trade history and keep the UTR of every payout. Details: crypto tax and TDS in India.
Other exchanges: Binance, Bybit, Bitget, MEXC, OKX, KuCoin.
